The Volunteer Center of Greensboro is looking for high school students to participate in our Service Learning Impacting Citizenship Camp (SLICC). SLICC combines educational group activities with volunteer service and reflection. SLICC campers will earn 30 volunteer hours, learn about their community, strengthen their college application with community service experience, meet new friends, and have lots of fun!

The Service Learning Impacting Citizenship Camp is happening now!
This week high school students from all over Guilford County who are leaders in their schools are joining together to see how they can make a difference in this community and around the world. Each voice counts!
This week they will be learning about the issues that surround the presidental election - the economy, environment, health care, and more. They students will also have a very special visit from Kay Hagan, who is running for the US Senate from NC.

The summer is passing quickly. Everywhere you look are displays of school supplies. That can only mean one thing… It is time for Harvest for Teachers!
Our next meeting is on August 12th at noon at The Volunteer Center.
