WHY SHOULD I DONATE?

The Volunteer Center of Greensboro connects people to their passion while giving nonprofits the strength to pursue theirs.

After serving Guilford County for 47 years, we stand strong as a vital link between the community and more than 170 local nonprofit organizations. In 2009 alone, we connected over 30,000 people to fulfilling volunteer opportunities.

In addition to volunteer matching, we organize a youth summer program that teaches the importance of volunteerism and service learning. We offer over ten professional workshops per year to local nonprofits that encourage staff to learn new competitive skills. For many smaller nonprofits we serve as their sole volunteer coordinator. The Human Race, 16 years and running, has grown into one of the largest community fundraising events for Triad nonprofits. Since its inception, this community event that has raised over $3.5 million for local agencies.
