By creating a culture that promotes community engagement and service, businesses can improve their image, strengthen their brand, boost employee morale, cultivate team work, and develop employee skills while giving back to their community. An investment in your community is an investment in your business and your employees that can boost your bottom line.
The Volunteer Center of Greensboro works with 174 nonprofits, so we can help your business to connect to our community in many impactful ways. See below for a few examples of Volunteer Center programs that connect businesses to our community.
• Our Corporate Volunteer Council can help you to strategically develop corporate volunteerism at your company and allow you to easily identify new opportunities to impact our community.
• The Companies with Heart program recognizes one company each month for exceptional volunteer efforts and other community support activities in Guilford County.
• Lead a workshop to train local nonprofit staff and volunteers in your area of professional expertise.
• Form a Human Race Walking Team to support local nonprofits. More than 100 nonprofits participate. Companies and their employees can walk or run for any nonprofit.
The Volunteer Center offers additional programs that promote volunteerism and support local nonprofits. All of our programs could benefit from corporate volunteers and funding. We also take pride in our flexibility to address community needs, so we are always open to new project ideas from businesses.
