Enterprise Holdings
Enterprise Holdings is June’s Company with Heart because of their dedication to serving Guilford County. The company has integrated community service throughout their corporate culture; citing one of its Founding Values as “We strengthen our communities, one neighborhood at a time.” As a result, Enterprise and its employees have supported Guilford County with significant volunteer efforts and financial contributions.
Enterprise participates in community projects throughout the year, but we would like to highlight a few special projects that were completed in the past year. Enterprise has supported The Triad Stand Down, sponsored by the Servant Center; a Habitat for Humanity build; and Lend A Hand-Live the Dream, sponsored by the Volunteer Center. Enterprise employees completed 280 hours of volunteer service in these three projects alone.
The Triad Stand Down is an annual event that provides homeless veterans with services, resources, and goods needed to improve their current and future quality of life. During the Triad Stand Down, 15 Enterprise employees volunteered for 120 hours to help the Servant Center to prepare for the event at the National Guard Armory.
Enterprise partnered with other businesses and Habitat for Humanity to build a private home for a family in Greensboro. Fifteen Enterprise employees volunteered for 120 hours to complete the home.
Eight Enterprise employees volunteered for 40 hours to assemble care packages for US troops and blankets for the homeless at the 2011 Lend A Hand – Live the Dream, MLK Day of Service.
Through the Enterprise Holdings Foundation, employees apply for grants to be distributed to nonprofit organizations in their communities. The local recipients of the most recent grant proceeds include:
